Wanting to continue my enjoyment of shapes and block colours I came across Futurism which is actually a movement I was never initially interested in until i accidentally came across it after googling 'shapes and colour', It was an artistic social movement started in Italy which emphasised speed and technology along with youth and violence, the fitting together like a jigsaw of shapes drew my attention especially the use of triangular forms and bright colours.

Some good artists who are really inspirational which I came across from this art movement using sculpture and painting are;

-Luigi Russolo

-Cario Carra

-Fillipo Tomasso Marinetti

-Gino Servini

-Umberto Boccioni

One artist in particular really drew my attention using broken colours and short brush strokes, showing block colour but somehow integrating texture in jigsaw like way, Umberto Boccioni.

Below shows 'Dynamics of a human body' done in 1913, acrylic on canvas.
