After designing a few ideas of what I wanted to create I thought that a table would be a good starting point in the way of furniture making, I only needed 3 pieces of wood and I had the perfect choices, i had a very long thin plank of wood which I cut in 2 with a saw and a very chunky square like rectangle which would make the perfect top for my table, at first I thought of how I could drill and screw the pieces together however the weight and the design of the table meant that wood glue would be more than sufficient.

I glued the 2 legs diagonal in 2 opposite corners of the bottom of the surface and let it dry overnight, since my pieces were already painted It didn't leave a lot of work for me to do and I loved how satisfied it made me feel to look at a finished piece and know I made it all through painting, sawing, sanding and glueing.

Below shows the long thin piece I sawed in 2 and the finished piece which I was really pleased with.
