The pieces from this Shaun crit were held both in the Shaun space and in the corridor on the bottom floor of the Preistman building, Tori had created a wall piece of colourful bubbles dispersing away from each other, it was small in size but very effective, the circles started in the centre of the wall and were gradually spaced out giving it almost a live feel like at any time it would begin to move. It was actually positioned close to a wall piece I had painted which consisted of triangles and it was a nice contrast in shape which emphasised the circles more.
Upstairs in the Shaun space Jack had 2 wooden boards, two very different styles. One looked almost like a stained glass window, shapes which were intersected together yet separated by a thick black line which reminded me a bit of Theo Van Doesburg's stained glass window diamond. the second board was a lot more expressive in the energy he had painted it, totally different style and not as neat or precise at the first it was very much imprecise but the contrast made them work well together.
