I wanted to really do something different and out of my comfort zone after creating so many large abstract flower pieces.

Whilst still incorporating my idea of organic and geometric abstraction, I decided to use a projection of a video showing the process of flower opening, for the background I used black tape which didn't stick on very well but the fact it was falling off when the whole piece was put on the wall linked with the video and almost made it into a real-time performance piece.

I also used oranges and yellows for the horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines, I really enjoyed trying out this new technique and will use this along with my last 2 large pieces to exhibit in the Shaun project space at University for my critique on Thursday, below shows a video of the finished piece.
