In some time off during the assessment period and results I decided to take one of the girls I volunteer with to the Baltic in Gateshead to see the latest exhibition; Holly Hendry.

Her work was a large scale installation which was almost overwhelming when entering the gallery, the piece was very abstract but clearly based on the human body, a large zig-zag bone was leaning up against one wall and the other looked almost like an inviting soft mattress showing the layers of the skin with cloud like pieces emerging from the top. Overall a very interesting piece I also really liked the pastel soft colours she used to show the layers, It was a dream-like room.

It also reminded me of an archaeology site where human bones could be dug out from underneath, It would have been an amazing interactive piece.
